PREDICTO is a plug&play predictive maintenance solution that uses measurement from various operational parameters like an electrical current, vibration, temperature, sound, etc., to forecast issues, and malfunctions and provide real-time monitoring of equipment.

System Elements

There are three separate system components: hardware, back end and front end.

A gateway and sensors which successfully collect and send various types of relevant data to the back end. The hardware has industrial design, sufficient battery life and functionality to allow for continuous improvement i.e. two way communication allowing firmware updates.

In this section of the software data is collected and sorted in a way that is convenient for ML/AI engineers to run various analyses and implement AI/ML models. This is where the actual added value of the system is delivered. The larger the pool of data, the better the analytics and ML models developed.

The section the customer has access to. It contains easy to navigate dashboards, graphs, alarms and tooling. Here the user monitors his equipment and will be informed about developing issues allowing him to plan well in advance its maintenance.

Additional services are also planned. Predicto’s team is aware that some clients will not have the expertise to fully utilise the information provided to them by the system hence advisors from PREDICTO can work with them.

Critical Assets Analysis

The critical assets are identified based on business risk in the event of asset failure: probability X cost. Besides that, their key position in the manufacturing process line usually makes them act as a bottleneck.

The lifetime expectancy of their wearable components is vital to keeping the downtime low. Examples of critical components are:

– conveyors,
– electric motors,
– main drives,
– mixers
– gearboxes, etc.

The machine health monitoring and timely identification of malfunctions is fundamental to running effective and timely maintenance service. Any unusual behavior could speak volumes, e.g.:

– abnormal vibration emissions
– bearing lubrication issues / wear
– electrical motor load / overload
– misalignment

Installation & Setup

When they leave the warehouse, all PREDICTO devices are ready to use. Our engineers will have their settings configured and so once the gateway is power supplied and all sensors mounted on the machines, the devices will automatically connect to the cloud to save the customers all the hassle.
